Y3/4 Emerald 2025 - 2026

Miss Morgan

Our Staff

Our unit leader is Mrs Branwood.

Our class teacher is Miss Morgan.

Our teacher is supported in class by Mrs Brooks.

iPads and Online Learning

All children should bring their iPad to school with them everyday, charged and ready to use. Please note that chargers should not be brought into school. This is to help prevent them from becoming lost in school.

To remain safe online, all children have been taught to keep their usernames and passwords safe from others. This means that they are not written down anywhere, especially in reading records!

The online platforms used are below and can be accessed by clicking or tapping on the logos.

Home Learning

All children in Y3/4 Emerald are expected to complete the following tasks as a minimum at home:

  • Read three times a week (recorded in their reading record)
  • Complete their spellings and Maths Homework (issued on Friday and due on Wednesday)

Additional home learning

At the start of every half term, each child is given a Homework Rubric, which is stuck into their homework book. This contains recommended activities for each of our curriculum areas which can be completed in addition to the tasks outline above. Copies of the Homework Rubrics for LKS2 can also be found at the bottom of this page.

Some of the most important things parents and family members can do to support their children, is to talk to them about what they have been learning about in school, and listen to them reading their individual reading book. We really value your support in doing these things to help us foster a love of learning.

Reading Champions

Each term, we monitor if children have been reading consistently three times a week at home. We look in the children's reading records to check this - so it's important that any reading is recorded in here! There are special rewards at the end of each term planned for all children who have risen to the challenge and become a Reading Champion!

PE and Games

PE lessons take place each week on Thursdays and Fridays. Children should come to school in their PE kits on these days.

Year 4's will go swimming every Thursday and need their swimming lit in a  bag - towel, costume, swimming hat for long hair

For more information on our PE kits, please see our School Uniform page.
