Fred fingers for spelling

I want to write the word "fright"

We hold our hand flat, palm facing us.  This is my piece of paper

I sound out the word and hold up the number of fingers to match the sounds in my word

I would hold up 4 fingers starting with my index finger

I use my pencil hand to pinch my fingers as I say the sounds in the word

Start at the index finger.  (If the word had 5 sounds I would use my thumb as well)

f  /  r  /  igh  /  t         There are 4 sounds in fright. 

I then write the word down by fred talking the word.

We used our fingers to help us spell.
