Set 3 Sounds

Your child will move onto Set 3 sounds when they have covered and mastered all of set 2 and can read and spell all the sounds

Set 3 covers the alternative ways of making the sounds.

We use the complex speed sound chart when learning set 3 sounds

When your child starts learning set 3 they will continue to read alien words.  This is make sure your child can recognise and read the special friends in both real and alien words.

They just need to read the alien words using special friends, fred talk, read the word.
